Foto izložba Nostalgija/Photo Exhibition Nostalgia
Written by radiodjeca on 14/09/2017

The idea behind the opening of the Photo Exhibition Nostalgia is to have an intercultural day dedicated to Japan at the Gallery BlackBOX. The exhibition will be opened by Larisa Kasumagić-Kafedžić and she will present a selection of 50 photographs from her stay in Japan with her family. The second part of the exhibition, a selection of the Japanese cuisine (washoku), will be presented by Nozomi Miyanoya, a teacher of the Japanese language course at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, and the students of Sophia University Tokyo- Yumi Orihara, Yukiko Imashiro and Ayako Miyamoto, who will say a few words about the Summer Japanese Language Program at the University of Sarajevo.
The selection and the preparation, as well as the concept of the exhibition, were done by Muhamed Kafedžić Muha. The inspiration for the exhibition came from a full feature anime by Makoto Shinkai´s “Your Name”, where one can see the Photo Exhibition Nostalgia taking place in Tokyo. Apart from homage to the Japanese director and his movie, the artist also wanted to convey the message that dreams and reality always intertwine, and if something was a dream or a fiction it can easily become a reality and then later on, it can also turn back into a dream. The selection of the photographs, apart from popular places, will also show some personal memories of Japan. The opening will be moderated by Julijan Komšić, who will be the host on behalf of BlackBOX Gallery. The exhibition will be open for 7 days.
